Building Project

In Spring 2015 we moved into our new building at 409 South Railway. This was our fundraising page for the building project which is now completed. Information about donations towards our general operating or other special projects can be found on our main donations page.

As announced previously, we will be moving into the former Fields building. Renovations are underway to convert the store into a cozy and comfortable library.

So far a little over $200,000 has been raised in community contributions to the building project. (These funds are in addition to grants from the Town and Rural Municipality, Manitoba Community Places Program, Manitoba Community Services Council, and others.)

To help raise the rest of the funding we require the Library has established two recognition programs: an Adopt-A-Shelf sponsorship and a Benefactor program.

Adopt-A-Shelf

In our current space a large amount of our shelf space is built onto the walls. We are not able to move that shelving to the new space, so we will need to purchase some new adjustable metal library shelves.

We are asking for sponsors for these units as follows:

  • Full Unit – $750
  • Half Unit – $375
  • A Shelf – $75

Benefactor Program

Larger contributions to the new library will be recognized in the building based on the following levels.

  • Diamond – $20,000 and above
  • Platinum – $10,000 to $19,999
  • Gold – $5,000 to $9,999
  • Silver – $2,500 to $4,999
  • Bronze – $1,000 to $2,499

(Note: In November 2014 our personal and corporate building benefactor programs were merged. All of the original contribution ranges remained, but the names were adjusted.)
