Story Sacks:

Have you ever borrowed the story sacks from the children’s area? They usually contain a book, an audio version of the book and props related to the story. We would like to add some new sacks to the area and are looking for suggestions and or volunteers to help?

Building Project

As announced previously, we will be moving into the current Boundary Co-op grocery store following the completion of their new store. Many renovations will be needed to convert the store into a cozy and comfortable library.

The Library Building Committee has contracted with MCM Architects of Winnipeg and Brandon to design the new Library. A proposed conceptual floor plan was presented to the community on November 21. You may download a PDF copy of the plan or stop by the Library and see the full size version. Please let us know what you think.

Fund raising is ongoing for the renovation project. The next major event is a sports dinner featuring Doug Brown, media personality and former Winnipeg Blue Bomber, on February 23, 2013. Tickets cost $45 each and are available from the Library and several Boissevain businesses.

We have also established a building fund in co-operation with the Boissevain & Morton Foundation. More information about the fund is available on our building fund page or you may direct questions to the Foundation directly via phone 1-204-534-8161 or email bmfi@mts.net.

Boissevain & Morton Regional Library is a registered charity. All donations to the Library, including our building fund, are tax deductible in Canada.

More information will be published here as it becomes available.
